My brother and I have our weekly ritual of eating lunch with our dad. This week we brought my 11-yr-old niece Erin and 11-month-old nephew Liam and off we go to Claim Jumper at Town Square.
The ambiance is family friendly, the wait time on a Monday afternoon was 15 minutes, not bad. While we waited, Liam was being friendly to most people and enjoyed sitting on his stroller.
After 15 minutes, we were showed to our booth and started looking at the menu. The menu consisted mostly of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees, steaks & rotisserie and of course, alcoholic beverages.
I settled for root beer for beverage and mushroom chicken with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. Yum!
It was a good choice! The chicken is scrumptious and the mashed potatoes were creamy but not runny -- right consistency.
Everybody was happy with their food choices.
Here come's dessert!
We ordered I Declair dessert, which read to be decadent. The menu's lack of photo left everything for the imagination but we took the chance.
When the food server brought this I Declair dessert, everybody was overwhelmed. It was the size of a cake roll but double the height and oozing with whipped cream. I was already full just by looking at this overloaded dessert. After 15 minutes of trying to finish the gigantic eclair, we managed to finish it off. Yum!
